The Downtown Master Plan Update is a City planning process that may affect future development rules in downtown West Palm Beach, including height, density, zoning flexibility, water front planning, traffic, parking, infrastructure, and public access. Because these changes could shape the city for decades, residents deserve a clear, public, and transparent process before any final vote.
Save West Palm Beach is a resident-led coalition advocating for responsible growth, transparency, and meaningful public participation before major decisions are made that could reshape downtown West Palm Beach, the waterfront, traffic, infrastructure, and the character of our city.
Development should respect infrastructure, traffic, emergency access, water/sewer capacity, and neighborhood character.
Residents deserve access to complete information, public presentations, meeting dates, and independent studies before votes occur.
Major long-term changes should not be advanced during the summer months when many residents are away.
Take Action
We encourage residents to contact the Mayor and City Commissioners directly and respectfully share their views on the Downtown Master Plan Update. Public input matters, and elected officials should hear from the residents they represent.

Current West Palm Beach Development Projects
This interactive map shows major approved, under-construction, proposed, and on-hold development projects in West Palm Beach. The purpose is to help residents see the cumulative scale of development activity across the city, especially projects that are often reviewed individually but experienced collectively through traffic, infrastructure demand, construction disruption, density, parking pressure, and neighborhood impacts.
Project details are based on publicly available city records, planning materials, developer disclosures, and press reporting. Statuses, unit counts, building heights, and project details may change. Some pins are approximate where projects cover multiple parcels or broader development districts.

Catherine Adler (Co-Founder) moved to Palm Beach in 1991 and lived there until 2013. Although she spent several years in New York City, she always considered the Palm Beaches home. When she returned in 2020 and settled in West Palm Beach, she was immediately reminded of what made the area so special—a beautiful waterfront community with a small-town feel, exceptional quality of life, and unmatched livability. In the years since, she has become increasingly concerned about the pace of development and its impact on the area’s character.
Catherine supports growth—but responsible growth. She believes development decisions should be guided by transparent planning, objective traffic and infrastructure studies, and meaningful resident involvement to help preserve the qualities that have long made the Palm Beaches a unique and desirable place to live.
“I co-founded Save West Palm Beach because I believe growth and preservation can go hand in hand. By protecting the character, livability, and sense of community that define West Palm Beach, we can ensure future generations experience the same welcoming city that made this place feel like home.”
Fatima V. Sanandaji (Co-Founder) grew up coming to Palm Beach with her family throughout her childhood and has watched the city evolve over many years. After living in New York City for more than two decades, she made West Palm Beach her full-time home in 2022. With a background in finance and interior design, she cares deeply about historic character, livability, and the long-term identity of the city.
“I chose to make West Palm Beach my home because of its character, charm, waterfront, and sense of community. I believe in thoughtful growth, but not at the expense of the qualities that make this city special. This cause matters because residents deserve transparency, meaningful input, and a real voice in shaping the city’s future.”
